UNDER MY BED AND OTHER ESSAYS is about the fear and violence that afflict women and mothers, the dark corridors we sometimes follow in our own minds, and our choice to choose love despite it all.

JODY KEISNER is a writer, teacher, mother, first-generation college graduate, and ex-waitress. Her essays have appeared or are forthcoming in Los Angeles Review of Books, Fourth Genre, Cimarron Review, Post Road, Brevity, AARP, and many other places.
